Voting is a fundamental right of any citizen that enables us as a community to decide who represents us in the institutions that dictate our lives and wellbeing. Voting not only enables us to vote for political parties, but it also gives us a greater sense of community. Many people do not vote thinking one vote will not make a change and this is especially true for the local elections, but as a matter of fact, it does. Our political foundations and community are built on those fundamental rights.
That is why it is imperative that each and every one of you who are eligible to vote, get out on May 2nd and vote Labour, we are the only party for the community and we want to fight the Tories every step of the way and improve/better our unique community for many not the few. We are community members who are fed up with the way the Tories have torn apart our historic town, allowed extortionate house price rises and deprived areas such as Somerford (statistically one of the most deprived areas in the country), all in favour of their austerity. We understand the difficulty but will not stop fighting for each any every resident of Christchurch.
