Louis is a first-class graduate of Government and History from the London School of Economics and recently graduated with a Masters of Philosophy in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge. Louis grew up and went to school locally, in both Highcliffe and New Milton, and has worked for local businesses. Whilst a student he worked part-time as a Cleaner and, most recently, as a full-time Risk Analyst in the travel risk management industry.
He decided to join the Labour Party in 2017 after having been inspired by the vision of a kinder, more moral, and socially just country offered by Jeremy Corbyn. Since then, Louis has studied Labour Party history and he believes that the Labour Party is both the party of the safety net and the party of real aspiration. Whether it be in weathering hard times or in striving to achieve full potential, individual success is only possible with the support of others. Labour exists to safeguard and invest in strong communities, to ensure that individual potential is not lost and that we are all enriched by leading fulfilling lives.
Louis became fully active in the CLP during the 2019 General Election campaign where he assisted PPC Andrew Dunne in policy research, editing campaign literature, and sending party emails. He hopes to carry forward that experience into his role and he is open to members coming forward with causes or issues that they are concerned with so that we, as a party, can work to strengthen our community.
